Youth Award Nominations Due August 1
Each year at its annual national convention, US Lacrosse honors outstanding contributors to youth lacrosse programs. Every program has at least one deserving coach, program administrator or official that make it possible for your child to enjoy his or her playing experience to the fullest. Nominate your local youth lacrosse hero online. The deadline to submit nominations is August 1.

In the bronze medal game, NESLL beat Nor Cal 9-5 behind three goals from Michael Herring and two goals from Ryder Garnsey. Joe Lang had a pair of tallies for Nor Cal.

The 10th Annual Tahoe Tournament fielded 24 teams this year with Marin defeating West Sunset 12-1 in the Championship game. This was Marin's 10th title.

July 5 NOR*CAL GIRLS U-13 AND U-15 2010 US Lacrosse LAX FEST TEAM WRAP-UP
NorCal U-13 and U-15 girls teams had successful tournaments at the US Lacrosse Youth Festivals. Both teams were awarded the US Lacrosse First Annual Sportsmanship Award.

The U-13 team played in Warren County, Ohio and was comprised of 14 girls from 6 different club programs. The U-15 Team , who competed in Lake George, NY fielded 15 players from 9 different clubs.

July3 NCJLA Names New Executive Director Nora Mitchell has accepted the position of executive director, NCJLA (Northern California Junior Lacrosse Association).  She brings 20 years of valuable leadership and management experience to the position; from high-tech marketing, to non-profit board positions, to management and communications consulting, to coordinating lacrosse programs.  She’s in her 12th year working extensively with parent volunteers in nonprofit associations that benefit youth.

Jun 24 NOR CAL Girls All American and Academic All American
San Francisco, CA – June 24, 2010 - Twelve Bay Area girls' high school lacrosse players have been named to the US Lacrosse All-America Team (Eight First Team and Four Honorable Mention honorees). Additionally, nineteen Northern CA girls' high school players who met a different set of criteria were nominated by their coaches for outstanding play on the field as well as excellence in the classroom, and have received US Lacrosse Academic All American honors.

  San Francisco Fall Lacrosse Classic October 16th, 2010Bay Area fans will have the opportunity to see some of the very best NCAA Division I players in the country when National Championship runner up Notre Dame squares off against perennial powerhouse Johns Hopkins.
The event will feature free youth clinics, a coaches clinic, great food and vendors, and the marquee game on Saturday afternoon. It should be a tremendous day, with 100% of the ticket proceeds going to the Bay Area Youth Sports Foundation (BAYS).
Tickets for the SF Fall Lacrosse Classic will be on sale soon and information updates will be available at www.sflacrosse.com.

Senior attackman Broc Schall scored a game-high three goals to lead No. 15 Foothill-Pleasanton to a 10-4 victory over No. 17 Amador Valley in a CIF-North Coast Section East Bay Athletic League game.

De La Salle also grabbed a share of EBAL title Friday night after senior attackman Nick Colletti registered a game-high seven points on six goals and one assist to lead the Spartans to a 17-6 win over California.
